Oleksandr Kapitanenko, President & CEO

With more than 15 years’ experience in telecommunications and software design, Mr. Kapitanenko is the driving force behind PortaOne’s technical innovations and vision. As one of the company’s original founders, and today head of its main office in Vancouver, he has played a crucial role in identifying new market opportunities and building the company through pioneering technology and a global outlook. Prior to PortaOne, Mr. Kapitanenko was lead VoIP architect at Nextra, a subsidiary of Norwegian telecommunications giant Telenor. He is a graduate of Kiev Polytechnical University, where he majored in automatic information processing and control systems and received a master’s degree in systems engineering.

Andriy Zhylenko, Chief Technical Officer

Mr. Zhylenko brings 12 years of experience in telecommunications and software design to the company. Before joining the PortaOne team he was manager for development at Nextra, one of the leading European ISPs. In 2000 he was the world’s 7th-ranked Perl programmer, according to that year’s Brainbench certification results. Mr. Zhylenko’s vast technical know-how and spirit of innovation have helped the company find new markets and increase its customer base. He received a master’s degree in mathematics from Kiev Polytechnical University.

Roman Khalenkov, Sales and Marketing Director

Mr. Khalenkov has over a decade of professional management consulting experience and skills in sales organization management and marketing strategy development. This experience was gained while working with the world top consulting companies: PricewaterhouseCoopers, McKinsey & Co., Booz Alen & Hamilton. His background also includes VoIP products development and market positioning for Nextra, a leading European ISP where Mr. Khalenkov was Director of Business Development. He holds a MSc. degree in Business and Economics from the University (PFUR) in Moscow and Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI.
