PortaOne is a carrier level software vendor. Although our customers can successfully do business in wholesale traffic exchange and run ASP models with PortaOne products, PortaOne itself does not sell minutes to any destination nor does it rent out its products and is not able to provide you with a hosted platform.

The price of PortaSwitch and its components (PortaBilling, PortaSIP, PortaUM) includes:

  • Unlimited perpetual license
  • Full source code
  • Post-installation Optimization and Monitoring
  • Customized on-site training
  • 6 months of PortaCare

What does it all mean?

Unlimited perpetual license We do not limit our licenses in any way. There are no per port, per call, per customer or any other limits. The license is also perpetual, e.g. limitless in time.
Full source code All PortaSwitch products are provided with a full source code. This allows users to make any changes to tune up the software they bought to meet the most sophisticated business model requirements. Our customers can change the code themselves, deploy PortaOne development team, or use any third party services.
Post-installation Optimization and Monitoring You run a simple and fast installation (usually, it takes 10-15 minutes per server) from the discs we ship to you after the purchase. Our support engineers will help you to optimize the installation to meet your business needs and will monitor your network for several hours after the installation to detect and resolve any technical issues related to the software.
Customized on-site training Upon the purchase, our training engineer will fly to your location to train all members of your team. The training can also be arranged at our offices in North America or Europe.
6 months of PortaCare PortaCare is a subscription service that includes 24×7/365 technical support and regular maintenance releases with product upgrades. After the first six months of PortaCare included in the price of PortaSwitch and its components, our customers are free to choose whether or not they want to continue the subscription.

Types of licenses

PortaOne can provide its customers with two types of licenses:

  1. Commercial license
  2. Staging license

To become a PortaOne customer one needs to purchase a PortaSwitch or its components with a commercial license from us. This license is unlimited and perpetual.

Many of our customers choose to obtain free limited non-commercial staging licenses in addition to their commercial licenses. A staging license allows running a non-commercial system on a separate set of servers and provides the following benefits:

  • Any newly developed features can be run in a testing mode to insure the stability of the commercial system and to allow a smooth training and learning curve for the customer personnel
  • A separate system is available for testing new features and making sure they are applied correctly to the customer business model
