PortaSwitch Procinctus Architecture

PortaSwitch Procinctus architectural design includes three main components that are tuned up to provide the highest level of performance and reliability:
- PortaBilling100 Advanced in a special clustered configuration (with 7 servers instead of 4), optimized for the distributed simultaneous multiprocessing:
- 3 servers to form a RADIUS Billing Cluster (fully copied from the high end architecture of PortaBilling Oracularius): no service outage in case one of the servers fails
- 3 MySQL database servers:
- Master DB
- Standby DB for operational redundancy
- Replica DB for data redundancy
- A web server to provide the service provisioning interface for administration as well as customer self-care pages
- The Switching Cluster consists of 2 PortaSIP servers. Each server in this cluster can be operated simultaneously; and the clients' SIP phones may automatically switch to another available PortaSIP server in case of a service outage on one of the nodes.
- The Media Cluster consists of 3 servers:
- PortaUM, a unified messaging platform and a media server to provide your customers with IVR, voicemail, auto-attendant and fax-to-email services
- Secondary PortaUM for redundancy or load balancing
- PortaBridge to enable your conferencing capabilities
The configuration server is a single point for efficient
management and
seamless update process of the whole PortaSwitch Procinctus set up. It is also
used as a logging storage to remove the analytical task loads from the
servers directly involved in the operational processes.
