Every month, nearly 500 operators in 100+ countries connect more than 1 billion people using PortaSwitch – the system created by our developers and maintained by our system engineers.

The 3-month long training program, held in your native language, will give you the required knowledge and experience to start working in 3 months or less. Free English language courses are also included.

Junior position through education course
On April 22, 2022 we launched an online course for those who have already left Ukraine. If you are still in Ukraine – please follow us on Facebook. In the future we will be giving an additional training course for those still in Ukraine and will announce it there.
What do you need to know?
To apply for this entry-level course you only need an A2 level of English (or better) plus a basic knowledge of:
- Computer science (self-check: What’s the difference between bit and byte?)
- Internet/networks (self-check: Which service translates a name like portaone.com into a server’s IP address?)
- Unix/Linux (self-check: How do you see the content of a file?)
There is a myth that “IT is not for women” – we enjoy busting it! More than 40% of our staff is female!
What will you learn?
We will provide all required further education in a 3-month online course. This will teach you the fundamental concepts and practical skills for:
- Linux system administration
- Relational databases and SQL
- Voice-over-IP (VoIP) and SIP (current de-facto standard for communications)
- Apache web-server, web applications and APIs
- Modern telecom billing system and softswitch (PortaSwitch)
- Business models of telecom operators
Be ready to allocate at least 4 hours per normal work day (Monday-Friday) for your studies. There will be personal meetings with mentors and group workshops between 09:00-18:00 Ukraine time, so make sure you can dedicate time during these business hours.
After graduation you can join our team as a Junior System Engineer. You will help telecom operators to launch new services; monitor PortaSwitch systems of telecom operators; troubleshoot problems and advise on how to configure the system properly; apply changes and software updates.

For the positions below we accept applicants who are currently in Ukraine or outside of Ukraine. Based on your current skill-set we will create a shortened customized training program (instead of a full course as mentioned above) so you can start working ASAP:
Developer
With experience in Python, Perl, C/C++, Flutter/Dart or Javascript/Angular
Middle System Engineer
Previous experience in UNIX administration required. Deploy new PortaSwitch systems for telecom operators; help junior engineers troubleshoot problems; prepare and execute complex projects
Infographics Designer
A picture is worth a thousand words - help our team to communicate better by creating diagrams to illustrate concepts on the web site or documentation. You do not need to be an expert in a specific graphic design software, just have a basic art education (be able to see beauty and harmony) and have the desire to understand the subject matter and show the essence in a drawing
Technical Writer
You will be making the amazing things created by our developers, understood by end-users! All of our documentation is public - we are proud of it
