Easier management of IP blocklists
IP blocklisting is a security feature that allows you to prevent access to your system from specific IP addresses. Previously, adding an address to the blocklist required the help of a PortaOne engineer, but now your engineers can manage the blocked IP addresses through the configuration server web interface. Your IP blocklist is applied to all PortaSwitch servers and is preserved after a system update or server reinstallation.
IP addresses can also be imported to your blocklist from external sources like VoIP Blacklist (voipbl.org), which provides lists of IP addresses that have been associated with malicious activities.
If you wish to grant access to only certain IPs within a blocked IP range, you can add those specific IPs to the IP allowlist.
What’s improved?
Easier IP blocklist management
Manage your IP blocklist/allowlist on the configuration server web interface and be sure that it’s preserved after system updates or server reinstallations.
Increased security
Prevent access to your system from IP addresses that have been associated with malicious activities by importing such IP addresses from public sources.

Disconnection options for active sessions
Sometimes your team may need to manually disconnect an active session for an account. Previously, only voice calls routed through PortaSIP could be manually disconnected via the PortaBilling web interface.
With MR105, it’s possible to disconnect a session on a gateway (if this functionality is supported by the integration module between PortaBilling and the gateway), for example, if an Internet session that is still in progress is preventing you from terminating the account.
Additionally, if a session is already disconnected but is still displayed as “active” on the PortaBilling web interface – which may happen, for example, if the Internet gateway was rebooted but PortaBilling did not receive the “stop accounting” request – you can now clean up such “dropped” sessions from the active session list.
What’s improved?
More control over account terminations
Terminate customer accounts even before the user has ended their active session; clean up the active sessions list by removing unnecessary sessions.

Notify customers via Odoo when their service is resumed
Service providers using the Odoo CRM can now send service reactivation notifications to their customers.
Say John Doe’s Internet service has been suspended due to an overdue invoice. As soon as John pays off the invoice, PortaBilling removes the suspension and notifies the Odoo CRM via API that this customer’s service has been resumed. Based on this, the Odoo CRM automatically updates John’s record and sends him an SMS confirming that he can now use the service again.

Web interface changes
MR105 brings multiple improvements to the web interface:
- Instant access to assigned subscriptions details. If you offer your customers subscriptions enhanced with promotional periods, such as “$9.99 for your first 3 months,” you can configure the column view to show the promotion end date directly in the subscription list without the need to open details.
- Quick transition between volume discount plan and assigned “Destination group set” and “Destination group.” When you are managing a quota, discount, or service wallet and need to check or make changes to the assigned “Destination group set” and “Destination group” (e.g., to check whether a prefix 507 for Panama is included in the “Latin America” destination group and so the quota will cover calls to Panama), you can now quickly switch to the corresponding pages. The “Destination group set” details can be just as easily accessed from the “Volume discount plan” page.
- Auto-resizing of table columns for improved data presentation with no need for left-right scrolling. The columns that appear in panels like “Customer list,” “Reseller list,” “Tariff list,” etc. are now automatically resized and adjusted to the data they contain and to the width of the window for easier viewing. However, if you prefer a customized view, you can still manually adjust the column size to your needs.
